The "woodgrain" series is the artists central thesis in her work. It is inspired by the everyday telephone pole that one may see on the city streets. The way the pole is debarked and shows all the unique grains in the wood fascinates the artist. Little details that may be seen are "branch nubs" "woodpecker effects" and "chisel effect."
The woodgrain technique and effect is a signature, in which was developed solely by the artist.
