This one of a kind stoneware ceramic vase is individually handmade by the artist.
She is inspired by the little creations nature has coming out of the forest floor in springtime; morel mushrooms. She is also a “morel mushroom expert” in Indiana and educates people through foraging classes in the spring. She incorporates the detail and texture of the “gray” morel into a hand-made and hand-carved piece. Each one of her pieces goes through countless steps to achieve this realistic look, including two kiln firings to cure the pieces, making them safe and durable for everyday use- a functional piece of art!
